Logan is 9 months old!

I am slacking a little bit on getting some posts out. Sorry! I am now working a small part time job for a tire company here in Knoxville. I only work Friday and Saturdays from 8 - 2:30, but still it takes up my day and I am worn out by the time I get home.
Anyway! Logan turned 9 months old on Valentine's Day! He's such a happy little guy. He takes 2 naps a day, eats anything you put in front of him (baby food or not), claps his hands, crawls everywhere, he is pulling to stand, and walking while holding onto furniture. He can say "dada" and we are working on "Momma". He LOVES playing with his big brother too. Travis and I couldn't have asked for two happier kids.

Good-bye 20's, Hello 30's!

Last Tuesday (February 2) I turned 30 years old. Braden awoke that morning, came downstairs and proudly said to me "Momma, it's your birthday. You're 30!" I had a nice day at home with the boys doing what moms do best; laundry, the dishes, and cleaning. That night Travis took all of us to one of our favorite sushi restaurants, Sushi Spot in Powell. We stopped by Taco Bell and got Braden some cheese roll-ups and a things of cinnamon twists. We have been trying to get him to just try the shrimp sushi, but he doesn't want anything to do with it. Logan had his dinner before we left and just enjoyed puffs and yogurt melts at the table.
This past weekend Travis and our good friend (& one of Logan's godmother's) Lanie threw me a party. It was so much fun! We had an interesting mix of people (playgroup, high school friends, & work buddies) at our house and everyone had a good time. Mom made my cake, but couldn't come to the party and we had pizza and other yummy snack treats to enjoy as well. Oh, and don't forget the beer and liquor too. Plus Lanie made Jello shots! I was a very good birthday girl and just got a little tipsy. I wanted to remember my party (unlike someone else on his 30th birthday!).

Oh how time flies!

I cannot believe that my little baby is 8 months old already. I also cannot believe that his big brother will be 5 in 7 months. WOW!!!! Here are some updates about our little Logan . . .
His has his 2 front bottom teeth
He is crawling very very fast! One minute he will be by the couch and the next thing you know he's across the room.
He is STANDING!!!!! I know he will be walking soon. He wants to do everything that his big brother can do.
He is getting so big. He weighs about 20 lbs and eats everything he can get his hands on. He loves peaches, bananas, squash, green beans, bread, ham, turkey. Pretty much you name it the kid will eat it. (He still HATES peas).
Here are his monthly pictures with his buddy George. These are getting a little hard to take. He just will not sit still (Logan, not George).

Happy New Year!!!!!

Happy New Year!!!!! We started off 2010 with a bang! Travis and I let Braden stay up all night again. We tried this last year, but he passed out around 11:45 pm. This year however, he managed ti stay up until not midnight, but 1 am!!!!! He was a ball of fire and very hard to get down. I guess letting him stay up gave him extra stored energy. Oh well, he slept in the next morning after he came down into our bed around 4 am. While Braden slept in, Logan got up at him normal time (around 7 am) so he hung out with Momma and Dada all by himself. He had a blast! Yes, he climbed the first step!!!!! I am doomed! He's such a stinker. His little face that he is making as he is going up the steps is too cute. According to my mom, I made the same face when I was little. I guess he does take after Momma!!!!!
Later that evening we went to our friend's Maureen & Sam's house for a nice New Year's Dinner. Braden had fun playing with the 3 dogs (Roo, Chucha, and Mitch). The night was relaxing and fun filled with good food, great friends, and wine!
Happy New Year everyone!!!!

Christmas with Elijah and Ethan

A few days after Christmas cousins Elijah and Ethan came over to open up their gifts from all of us. They were in Atlanta for Christmas visiting other family and so we had Christmas with them a little late this year. The 3 older boys had fun opening gifts and playing with one another. Elijah got to feed Logan his desert and both of them really enjoyed that. We had a nice visit and will see them again on New Years day and over the weekend.

Christmas Day

Christmas morning Braden woke up, ran into our bedroom and got into bed with us. No mentioning of gifts under the tree or anything. He ran right past it without noticing anything. Travis and I got up, made his chocolate milk, and showed him the tree. The next thing we heard out of his mouth was "Take it, I gotta see what Santa brought me". I told him he had to wait until Logan got up, which was within 5 minutes of us getting up, and then we could start opening gifts. Santa brought Braden 2 Razor scooters (1 for him and 1 for Dadda, until Logan can ride), the Crayola Glow Station, the Crayola Glow Dome, the Crayola Glow Paint, and many other cool things. I think his favorite gift of them all had to be a Magic 8 Ball from Dadda. He consults the Magic 8 Ball before doing anything. It's too funny!
Logan got some cool things as well. He has some clothes now, some puffs and yogurt melts (he loves them), a bath toy, some toy trains, and a new rubber ducky. He was very happy.
After we had opened gifts and showered, Lanie and her boyfriend Michael came up for Christmas Brunch. I made French Pancakes (toast), eggs, bacon, hash brown casserole, and Lanie brought cinnamon rolls. Yum! We were stuffed!!!!! Lanie gave Braden a Dr. Seuss game and Logan got a ride / push toy. He loves playing with the little toys on it, but soon enough he will be pushing it around the house.
Later that afternoon Nay-Nay and Pop (my mom & dad) came over for Christmas dinner and gifts. Logan got a cool toy table that he can already pull up on and sit on his knees and play it. Braden got a Price is Right game for the Wii and we have played it tons of times already. They both got some clothes and other good stuff as well.

Christmas Eve

This year instead of trying to squeeze both families in one day we decided to split Christmas, that and Travis's sister, Angela, had to work Christmas day so that helped in the splitting as well. Christmas Eve afternoon we arrived at Travis's sister Angela's house and spent the day opening presents with Grandma, Grandpa, Cousin Abby, Aunt Angela, Uncle David, Grandpa's Cousin Christine and Aunt Eleneva. Braden and Logan made a killing! (Abby did too.) Braden's favorite gift from Grandma and Grandpa, I think, are his Lightening McQueen Roller Skates. He can put them on all by himself (he still cannot get his shoes on by himself) and skate around the kitchen holding onto the table. He loves it. Logan got everything a little boy who loves monkeys can get. His toy his plays with the most is his toy hamster in a ball. Thanks Grandma! Fun was had by all and the kids were ready to pass out by 3 pm.
After Christmas with the Allen family we headed off to 4:00 mass at church. We have always gone to the children's service and Braden really enjoyed watching the kids come in as Mary, Joseph, shepherds, and angels. Next year Braden will be old enough to join them. We were very lucky this year as our new bishop said mass that day. It was very nice too.
Once mass was over we were off again to my Godmother's house for Christmas Eve dinner. We have been going there for a long time. Mom doesn't even remember when we started the tradition. Braden played with Madelyn (Ryan's girlfriend's daughter). She's just a few months younger than Braden/ They had a blast playing with their toys Mary and the family got them. I didn't get a picture, but Braden was helping Maddy dress a Barbie head and fixing her hair. It was too cute!
The only picture I was able to get of the evening was of cousin Abby trying to hold Logan.
