Labor Day Weekend Fun

For our fun filled Labor Day weekend we had many different activities. On Saturday we attended our neighbor Katherine's 2nd Birthday Party. Later that day we hung out at Lanie's pool with her and her parents, Fred & Gail. On Sunday we spent the morning, after church with Grandma & Grandpa and had birthday cake for Grandma's birthday too. Yummy!!!!! Later that afternoon Elijah and Ethan came over with Nay - Nay & Pop. Braden had tons of fun. Elijah lounges on the couch playing XBOX, while Braden and Ethan enjoyed some yummy chocolate cookies.

Braden through the years

I was going through pictures on my computer and saw some really cute ones of Braden from the Fall of 2005 - May of 2008. (Boppy fall 2005, blanket April 2006, couch, March 2007, & glasses May 2008.)He's smiling in all of them, so it's like a morph of Braden through the years.

Hanging out with Shelby

Our friend Michael brought over his daughter Shelby so he and Travis could join the Frank Family Fantasy Football Draft this evening. While everyone was out picking players the 3 of us were playing . . . hard. We painted, played games, and even had a wagon ride. Braden even thought it would be funny to wear both pairs of his glasses at the same time. What a nut!

London 2012 Here I Come!

Look out Jonathan Horton, here comes Braden Allen. He's working on his couch balancing routine. He's almost there, he just needs to straighten out that right leg.

Braden's 3 year check up

Today Braden had his 3 year check up with Doctor Roberts. The nurses and Doctor Roberts said he is doing great. He weighs 30.2 lbs and is 38.5 inches tall. He is still a picky eater so we are trying to branch out and get him to eat more healthy foods. Right now he LOVES cheese. At least he will eat raisins and bananas. Braden did eat a "tree" the other day and Travis and I were floored. He loved it! Maybe we have progress after all.
After the doctor's visit we came home, played and then had lunch. Braden and I enjoyed some Ramen noodles. Yummy!!!

Braden and Ava's playdate

Braden's "girlfriend" Ava came over to play today for a while. Her momma had some errands to run so Ava stayed with us. We played Zingo (it's like Bingo) and even colored some cool pictures. Braden and Ava played football with Travis once he got home too. They had so much fun together. That night as Braden was going to bed he asked me "momma can Ava come and play me tomorrow". I think he has a crush!!!!! Ah, young love.

Moms & Tots Welcome Back Picnic

Friday August 22, we had our welcome back picnic with Moms & Tots at Church. It was loads of fun. We even had a clown (creepy) making balloon animals and hats. The kids loved it!!!! Braden refused to go anywhere near the clown, but I have officially conquered my fear of at least this clown. He's a good family friend. I just keep telling myself "you know the man behind the makeup". It seems to work. Braden's friend Will had no problem at all sitting on the clown's lap for a picture though.

Time for School

On Tuesday August 19, 2008 Braden started school. He loved and when I picked him up he asked if we could come back again. I told him yes, that we would be back on Thursday. What a happy little boy!!!!

Let the party begin!!!!

For Braden's birthday party we decided to have it at Bounce USA in Powell. The kids had a blast! The bounced an 10 different inflatables. Check out the cakes that Nay - Nay (my mom) made!!!! Wow! I'm just glad it was not at my house. The day started off with "Uncle" Jason giving Braden the "best present ever" (according to Braden). A Nintendo DS. He loves it!!!! Then we had lunch and headed off to the party. The birthday boy decided to pass out on the way home. Later that evening we went to dinner at Wasabi with Elaine, Michael, and Shelby and then it was back to the house for more toys and cake! The kids were full of energy.

Putt Putt and More Birthday Fun

For Braden's birthday, since he loves to play golf, Travis and I took him to play putt put at Zuma Fun Center. He had a blast! Braden didn't get any wholes in 1, but I did. He didn't care about the score, he only cared that he got to play. Not only did we play putt putt, but Braden had his first try at playing ski ball. It's just like bowling so he loved it.
Later that evening my dad, Pop, and my nephew, Elijah, came over to give Braden some birthday gifts. Pop gave Braden a trumpet and Elijah gave him Gator Golf game. The rest of the evening was full of fun as the boys played with the new toys and then "Uncle" Jason showed up.

Braden's birthday adventures

The rest of the week I prepared myself for all of the birthday festivities that were to take place over the weekend. Braden's birthday was on Friday, August 15. I had a meeting that morning so I decided to surprise the birthday boy with a special birthday breakfast.

Braden Turns 3 yrs Old!!!!

I'm a little behind on the blogging thing, so I figured I'd start with our little boy turning 3 yrs old. The week started off with a celebration at Olive Garden with Grandma and Miss Reeva. Braden enjoyed every moment of it. When he saw his cake and the candle in it he said "This is the best day ever!"
