Weeball Game at Smokies Stadium

Braden is loving weeball this year, I am so glad Travis and I signed him up. Saturday Braden's team had their end of season party at Smokies Stadium (Chicago Cubs farm team). Logan and I stayed home because I just didn't think it was a good idea to have him out in the heat. Braden got to play around on the field before the game and even got a trophy. Here are some pictures from the fun day.

Logan is 2 weeks old today!

Today Mr. Logan is 2 weeks old! He spends his days sleeping, eating, filling his diaper, and loving all of the attention that he gets. He is a very vocal baby. He grunts and squeaks! It is too funny and oh so cute. We are loving our little Logan more and more every day and Big Brother Braden is being so helpful with his little brother.

Seven Years Ago!

On this day seven years ago (May 25, 2002) Travis and I were married in front of all our family and friends at All Saints Catholic Church. Since then we have bought our first house, adopted our first pet (Ragan), and had two wonderful little boys . The past seven years have been wonderful and I wouldn't ask for anything more. I cannot wait to see what the next seven years, and more, brings into our lives. Thank you Travis for being a wonderful husband, father and the man that I will always love. I love you! Happy Anniversary!

Cousins

While celebrating Ethan's birthday I made all the boys sit on the couch so I could get a nice picture of the 4 of them together. Here's a couple of the good ones.

Another birthday party

Today is Ethan's 3rd birthday. Nay-Nay, Pop, Elijah, and Ethan all came over this afternoon to celebrate Ethan's birthday. The boys played on the slip n slide and ran around the yard having a good time. After that we devoured Ethan's cookie cake, made by Nay-Nay and watched Ethan open his gifts. Fun was had by all. Happy Birthday Ethan!

A Very Proud Big Brother!

Braden has been asking to hold Logan a lot lately. This is a good sign. Braden has been very gentle with Logan petting his hands, arms, legs, and his head. He is a very good big brother and helps momma and dad by bring us things that Logan needs burp cloths, blankets, and other things too.

1 week old!

Logan is a week old today (May 21)!!!! He spends his days sleeping, eating, grunting, and filling his diaper numerous times. He is such a sweet baby and is letting momma and dad sleep pretty well during the night. He gets up 2 or 3 times during the night to eat. I am counting my blessings right now for that one. His little face has changed so much in the past week too. Grandma bought Logan a swing and boy does he love it.

First Doctor's Visit

May 18 Travis and I took Logan for his first doctor's visit. Doctor Swabe said that Logan looks very good and is gaining weight very well, yay momma! When he was born Logan weighed 6 lbs. 14 oz. When we left the hospital he weighed 6 lbs. 7 oz. Then today at the doctor's office he weighed 6 lbs. 9 oz. He gained 2 oz. in 2 days!!!! Momma's feeding him very well. He is a very healthy eater. His little boy parts are healing well after the circumcision and all too. We don't have to go back for another check up until Logan is 3 weeks old!

More Pictures

Here are some more pictures of Logan's arrival. There are just too many in so few days.

Logan Matthew Allen is here!!!

At 8:14 am Thursday May 14 Logan Matthew Allen made his presence know to the world. He arrived via c-section weighing 6lbs. 14oz. and 19 1/2 inches long. Logan is doing great and so am I. He is eating well, sleeping well, and just loving all of the attention that he is getting from everyone, including his Big Brother Braden. We were able to go home on Saturday afternoon and were very happy to do so. I was getting tired of being cooped up in the hospital and was very anxious to get home. Our first night home went well too. Braden came down about 5 am and when Logan started crying he just simply hid under the covers to keep the sound down. He'll get used to it.
Logan is a very easy going baby so far. He is happy just laying in his bassinet or being cuddled by mom or dad. Here are a few pictures so far, but we have plenty more to come.

Look what I made in school!

Braden made a Zebra mask in school today and he was very proud of himself too. He wanted me to take a picture of him wearing it when we got home, but after that he was done. "Momma, I am all done with my mask. I do not have to wear it anymore!"

39 weeks, we're done!

Well, today was my last doctor's appointment. I am officially 39 weeks along and Baby Allen #2 will be here bright and early Thursday morning. The doctor said everything looks great and unless I have contractions between today and Thursday (2 days), then he will see me Thursday morning. I have to be there at 6 am, the doctor will be there around 7 am, and Baby Allen #2 will make his appearance around 8 am.
We are all very excited here about the arrival of our new little one. I have had my bag packed for a couple of weeks now, just in case he came early. Oh well, I'm ready that's all that matters. Braden has been telling me what a good big brother he will be, bringing me diapers and other things I might need for baby brother. I am dying with anticipation to see his reaction to the new little guy. We have a list of names that we are taking with us and we will update everything as soon as I am lucid enough to post. Stay tuned!!!

Happy Mother's Day!!!!

Since it was Mother's Day, and not raining, we decided to play outside for a while. Braden rode on his scooter and he had the best time riding it up the driveway and then coasting (balancing) on the way down. Each time he kept saying "I have great balance!".

After a nice lunch at The Chop House with Grandma, Grandpa, Aunt Angela, Uncle David, and Abby we played outside some more. Braden played in his sandbox for a while and then him and Dad practiced some baseball. Braden almost hit the ball over the fence!

After we were all done playing and having fun Travis and I decided it was time to get the car seat ready for the new baby. As Travis was tightening the straps Braden decided to get in. Silly Braden!!! After all said and done Braden and I had a nice picture take of us on this beautiful, non raining, Mother's Day.

Random outdoor photos

I am in no way a photographer, but we were outside playing, since we finally had a day without rain, and I was just playing around with the camera.

Finally another wee ball game

The weather here has been nothing but rain, rain, and more rain. Braden's wee ball game last week was canceled because of the weather, but we lucked out and he was able to play today. Well, then the rain hit. Braden did a great job wearing his uniform and playing on the field. He hit the ball twice really hard off the tee and ran like a ball of fire. He does a great job in the field, playing in the dirt, and fielding the ball as well. I was very happy the game did not get rained out as this is probably my last game for the season as I am going in Thursday to have our 2nd little boy.
Braden's cousins Elijah and Ethan came to the game along with Nay-Nay and Pop. Grandma and Grandpa were there too. We all enjoy watching him play. He is so into it now. I can't wait until next year to see how much he likes it then. He's just like his dad. A definite sports lover!!!!

38 Week Update

Well, here we are, down to the last week and a half. My bag is packed and I am ready to go! I had my 38 week appointment today and we secretly hoping that they would just keep me there and admit me, but no luck. I am scheduled for a c-section next Thursday, May14, if the little guy decides to wait. I will be ok with everything if he decides to come early, but if not then the 14th it is. We are getting excited to see the little guy and have a list of names to go with us to the hospital. We are waiting to see what he looks like to fit a name to his face. Sorry for the suspense. I have my last appointment with the doctor on Tues. and then back over there on Thurs. to deliver. They must really like me coming back and forth. Oh well.
Braden saw me packing my bag yesterday and asked me what I was doing. I told him that I was getting my bag ready for the hospital for when I have to go there to have baby brother. He told me he doesn't want me to go to the hospital that I can stay here with him. I'm curious to see how he is going to do without me for a couple of days. Travis has been away from him before, but not me. So, we will see how this goes.
