1 Month To Go!

I cannot believe that Logan, my little chunky Logan, will be a year old in 1 month! Where has the time gone!? He is crawling all over the place. He has caught himself standing on his own a couple of time, and then just falls (laughing). He throws ball ( and pretty much anything except food that he gets his hands on). He is starting to refuse to eat baby food now. For breakfast he usually eats a whole banana and some Trix ( I bought Cheerios today). Lunch is half of a grilled cheese sandwich and some sort of other fruit cut up (usually grapes, strawberries, dried cranberries, or whatever). He LOVES to eat! Can you tell? He is cutting his 3rd bottom tooth (the 2nd on the right). He is just a funny little guy and we cannot get enough of him.

Yankees win their season opener 19 - 12!!!!

Braden is playing T-Ball this Spring and his team name is the Yankees. He was thrilled because Travis & his dad are huge New York Yankee fans. We still cheer for the Cubs too! Tuesday (April 13) was the teams season opener. The kids had a blast batting, fielding, and chasing the ball. Braden was put in the the catcher's position and didn't have to worry too much about a ball coming his way. Right now the kids shoot for getting the batter out at 1st base. Braden had 1 RBI for the evening as well. Go Yankees (T-Ball)!!!!

Easter with the McCarthy Family

Because of scheduling conflicts and other things going on Easter Sunday, we had to postpone Easter with my family until the Sunday after Easter. No one seemed to mind (the kids at least) that we were hunting for eggs and Easter baskets a week later. Everyone got their favorite things in their baskets even Logan. Fun was had by all and we even had some leftover birthday cake for dessert.

Easter Fun

Easter Sunday turned out to be a gorgeous day. We attended mass as usual and then came home for a quick breakfast of doughnuts and eggs. After breakfast Braden noticed that the Easter Bunny had left him and Logan each a basket full of fun stuff. Logan squealed when he saw the containers of puffs, he could have cared less about Mater that was hiding in there as well. Braden was very excited to find Perry the Platypus in his basket, along with Peeps, bubbles, and chocolate. We didn't get a chance to do an egg hunt on Easter this year. The grass in our yard was way too tall, so by the time Travis got done mowing the kids were over their sugar high and it was time to head to Aunt Angela & Uncle David's house. Braden enjoyed running around with his cousin Abby and Logan tried his best to keep up. I think he realized that just crawling as fast as he could was NOT going to keep him up to speed with Braden & Abby running.
After we had a nice dinner Travis and I went out back and hid the eggs. Braden and Abby took off in a mad dash to see who could find more. They had a blast and Logan enjoyed watching from dada's arms. He wanted so badly to go out there with them.
It wasn't just an Easter celebration this year with Aunt Angela & Uncle David. On Wednesday March 31, Aunt Angela gave birth to Braden & Logan's newest cousin, David Alexander Mullinax. He is a cutie!!!!!!

Go Yankees!

Braden has started playing T-Ball. This year he is on the Yankees (sorry Chicago family). He's very happy about this because Travis and his dad are huge New York Yankee fans and they have instilled in Braden's head that the Yankees are awesome (sorry again Chicago family, I tried).
His team started out the season with tournament games yesterday. Braden's team lost their game last night, but they won tonight. Braden helped the team with their victory by scoring 2 runs!!!!! His coach was so proud of him that Braden went home with the game ball.

Playing w/ friends

These past few days have been just absolutely gorgeous, so we took advantage of the weather and had some out door fun. Our playgroup met Thursday at the UT Gardens on the University of Tennessee campus for a nice little picnic lunch / play date. The boys had a blast playing with their friends and just getting down and dirty. Logan passed out on the way home and Braden almost did too.
