All by Myself!

Over the weekend Nay-Nay bought us a pool, to share, for our back deck. Braden loves playing in it and so do the cousins. This evening, after dinner, Braden and dad went outside for a swim. Braden decided to just go for it and dive! He had his head completely underwater. I came out with his goggles, Travis put them on and he was off. He started kicking and before we knew it he was swimming across the pool. What a water bug!!!!

Crusing Down the Road

Braden has a new bed! We acquired this cool bed from our friends Patrick and Bevin last night. Their kids have outgrown it and they were looking to give it a new home. Braden is very excited about his new bed and has even mentioned that he is going to sleep in Dada's "fast car" from now on. I was very surprised to also hear that Logan can sleep with him in his new bed, when he is bigger. What a nice big brother.

Logan's First Bath . . . Finally!

Tonight Logan had his first bath. He enjoyed the warm water being poured over his head and body, but he was NOT happy about getting out of the tub and being cold. Poor little guy. Once he was dried off, had lotion put on, and was nice and snugly warm in his jammies he was one happy little boy. All in all I think he enjoyed his bath very much.

Shaving Cream Fun!

Elijah and Ethan came over to play today and boy did we have fun. We stared off playing some games, Elijah and Ethan held Logan, and then we ate some lunch. After that we painted some pictures and then it was outside to play with shaving cream. I think they enjoyed it, you tell me by the pictures. After I hosed them off and we waited for their clothes to dry they watched "Surf's Up". You gotta love Summer time. Maybe next time they come over we will have our little pool out on the deck.

Weeball Cookout

To end our wee ball summer fun Braden's coach, Coach Chris, invited both of his teams (wee ball and tee ball) to a cookout / game at Fountain City Park last night. Everyone had a blast!! Everyone was asked to bring something to share, so I made a big cookie cake for everyone to enjoy along with their hot dogs, cookies, mac - n - cheese, and snow cones. (YUMMY!)
After dinner the parents and kids split up and played 2 games against each other. Travis and Braden were on a team for the wee ball game. Travis' friend Patrick (who works at Scripps with him) was on the other wee ball team with his daughter Audrey. Travis hit the ball right to Patrick, which Patrick then caught and got Travis out! Here are some pictures from the evening.

Logan is 1 month old today and Uno!

Today Logan is 1 month old. I decided that I would take a picture of him with George the monkey every month to see how much he grows over time. Here are this first installments and one with Dada too.
Braden LOVES the game Uno, so as I was taking pictures of Logan, Braden was playing Uno with Dada and I took some pictures there too.

3 Week Check up with the Doctor

Yesterday we took Logan to the doctor for his 3 week check up. He is growing more and more each day. Dr. Roberts said he is looking great and gaining weight wonderfully. Logan now weighs 8 lbs. 1 oz. (20th%), his length is 20 1/2 inches (28th %), and his head is 35.1 cm (10th %). We go back to the doctor in July for his 2 month check up and some shots. We are so excited!!
Braden wanted me to take his picture as well today, so here he is while we were playing under the bird. He's such a nut!

It took him long enough . . .

As I was putting Braden into his car seat yesterday after school, Logan was already in the car, Logan started to cry and I told Braden to hurry up and get into his seat. He looked at me and replied "Momma, Logan wants to go home inside your belly. Hurry and get in the car". I am surprised it took him this long to say something about Logan going back into my belly. What a nut!
This morning as I was getting Braden his chocolate milk and starting our day he was all snuggled up on the couch so I figured I'd take a picture of him. I was wrong! This is what I got. "No Momma, don't take my picture!!!!!"

3 weeks old and big brother

Yes, I am updating again on our little Logan. He is 3 weeks old today! Logan has been staying awake a little more each day, and sleeping very well at night. He only wakes us up about 2 times to eat during the night. With Braden it was more often, I guess Logan just likes sleep more. Yay for us! Braden is starting to be more interested in his little brother. He likes to play with his arms and legs and has been getting into trouble pushing Logan's swing, while he is in it. "Logan said he wanted to go fast momma."
Braden is very busy these days. He is still playing weeball, but the season should be over soon. With all of the rain that we have had here he still has make up games that have yet to be scheduled. Also, he has started back at his Mother's Day Out program for the Summer. He only goes on Tuesdays and Thursdays for about 4 hours, but he loves it there and it gives me some time to be with Logan or do things around the house. We are very excited about this fall too. Braden was accepted into St. Joseph Catholic School. I am super happy about this as we are not too impressed with the schools that we are zoned for right now. He will be in their pre-school program where he will have Spanish class, art class, music class, and just get a full day of learning and exploration. He will love it!

Happy Birthday Uncle John!

Friday, May 29, was Uncle John's birthday. He was unable to come and celebrate it with us then, but yesterday he came over for lunch and to meet Logan for the first time. Braden had a blast playing with Uncle John and loved the extra attention. He was more than happy to show Uncle John his trophy from weeball and bring him his birthday present. We hope Uncle John had a nice belated birthday lunch yesterday and enjoyed meeting his new nephew.
